Completed in 2012, Marlins Park is a brand-new state-of-the-art retractable-roof ballpark located fewer than two miles from downtown Miami.
Built on the site of the historic Orange Bowl, Marlins Park is a testament to modern engineering and architecture. The first LEED Gold-certified retractable-roof ballpark in the country, Marlins Park employs multiple sustainable processes, including pollution prevention and an indoor air-quality plan. In fact, more than 98 percent of the construction waste used to build the facility was recycled. The facility is expected to carry on the legacy of the Orange Bowl as both a host to a multitude of sporting events, and as an anchor of redevelopment and community-building in the area.
Marlins Park is intent on bringing fans the most exceptional baseball experience possible. The seats are some of the closest ever to the field, the temperature is constantly maintained at 75 degrees Fahrenheit, and a vast selection of concessions is available to park-goers. In addition, home plate is flanked by two 450-gallon salt-water aquariums, and a moveable wall in left field reveals breathtaking views of downtown Miami.
