Was drafted in the 23rd round of the 1987 First-Year Player Draft by the New York Yankees out of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA…Inducted into the Nicholls State University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015...Played seven seasons in the minor leagues with the Yankees and Orioles, batting .236 with 13 homers and 159 RBI in 437 games…Played for Buck Showalter from 1987-89 in the Yankees farm system…Was a teammate of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders in 1987 with Class-A Fort Lauderdale.
