Community Fund Grant Inquiry Guidelines

Rays Baseball Foundation

Thank you for your interest in the Rays Baseball Foundation, the charitable arm of the Tampa Bay Rays. The application process begins with a Community Fund Grant Application submitted to the Rays Baseball Foundation outlining the specific nature of your request. Please fill out the online application located on this page.

To qualify for consideration, your organization must:

  • Operate in the Tampa Bay area
  • Be a 501 (c) (3) with a Federal tax exempt letter

Two Grant Cycles

The Rays Baseball Foundation has two grant cycles (Spring and Fall), as follows:

  • Spring - The deadline for the Spring Cycle is Friday, March 6, 2015 at 5pm. Recipients will be notified no later than May 15, 2015.
  • Fall - The deadline for the Fall Cycle is Friday, July 31 at 5pm. Recipients will be notified no later than Sept. 18, 2015.

2014 Winners

What we fund:

The Rays Community Fund Grant Program provides assistance to local nonprofits in the Tampa Bay region. Grants averaging $5,000 are awarded to help support and enhance current youth and education focused programs offered by community-based nonprofit organizations.

Average amount for a grant is $5,000.

What we do not fund:

  • Individuals
  • Event sponsorships
