The Mets will look to continue their strong play away from Citi Field and complete a sweep of the Phillies behind Jon Niese in the final game of a four-game series at Citizens Bank Park. Philadelphia will counter with veteran right-hander Aaron Harang.

8/26/2015 | Mets' 6th straight win ups NL East lead to 6.5

For the third time this season, the Mets own a winning streak of at least half a dozen games. They grabbed their sixth straight win with a 9-4 victory over the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday night, extending their National League East lead to 6 1/2 games -- their largest since leading the Phillies by seven games with 17 to go in 2007 -- and putting themselves on pace for exactly 90 wins.

8/26/2015 | Phils want to see how Hernandez reacts to slump

Cesar Hernandez has seen a lot of playing time recently, but he started Wednesday on the bench after a five-game slump that saw him hit .048 (1-for-21). Manager Pete Mackanin isn't concerned about the 25-year-old, and in fact, saw this as a chance to get a better feel for the young infielder's mental makeup.

8/26/2015 | Bowa's issue with quick pitch safety related

Phillies bench coach Larry Bowa has been around the game long enough to know he's going to hear from Major League Baseball over the next few days.

8/25/2015 | Bowa, Phils angered by Robles' quick pitch

Tempers flared and benches emptied in the seventh inning Tuesday night in the Mets' 6-5 victory over the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

Mets right-hander Bartolo Colon hopes to get on track for the stretch run beginning Wednesday night against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

Noah Syndergaard earned his first road victory of the year, Travis d'Arnaud tied things on a bases-loaded walk and Michael Cuddyer gave the Mets the lead for good with a pinch-hit, two-run single in the sixth of New York's 6-5 win over Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

8/25/2015 | Phillies may use six-man rotation in September

The Phillies want to see more Aaron Nola, Adam Morgan and Jerad Eickoff in their rotation before the end of the season.

Every time Jeff Francoeur hits a home run, somebody wonders why a contender would not want him for the stretch run.

8/25/2015 | Phillies Minor League review, Aug. 17-23

Phillies Minor League review, Aug. 17-23

8/24/2015 | Phils have nothing to show for crushing All-Star arms

The Phillies accomplished something pretty remarkable in the past 18 days, scoring 14 runs against Zack Greinke and Jacob deGrom but losing both games.

8/24/2015 | Syndergaard hoping to take show on the road vs. Phils

Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard would love to replicate the success he had in his first and only career start against the Phillies on May 27.

8/24/2015 | Mets rout Phillies behind record 8 home runs

No deficit is too large for the new-look Mets to overcome. No offensive benchmarks are too ostentatious. David Wright homered in his first game since April and wound up being a footnote in the Mets' 16-7 win over the Phillies on Monday, which featured a franchise record eight home runs and 15 extra-base hits at Citizens Bank Park.

8/24/2015 | Phillies fans to get first looks at Eickhoff, Sweeney

Somehow, someway, the Phillies have the third-best record in the National League and the fourth-best record in baseball since the All-Star break. They have mostly young players to thank for that

8/23/2015 | Rupp keeps homering during Nola starts

It's hard to blame Phillies catcher Cameron Rupp for wanting to see Aaron Nola on the mound more than every fifth day. For four straight Nola outings, Rupp has started and homered each time -- as was the case once again in Sunday's 2-0 win at Marlins Park.

8/23/2015 | In Wright's return, Mets tab deGrom vs. Phils

The wait is over. The comeback is complete. More than four months after first landing on the disabled list, third baseman David Wright is due to rejoin the Mets for their series opener Monday in Philadelphia. Jacob deGrom gets the start opposite Phillies lefty Adam Morgan.

8/23/2015 | Nola in complete control in career-best outing

Aaron Nola's stellar outing of eight scoreless innings in Sunday's 2-0 Phillies win at Marlins Park supported the biggest lesson that the rookie has learned since his callup on July 21.

8/23/2015 | Nola, Phillies blank Marlins on three hits

Promising Philadelphia rookie Aaron Nola threw a career-high eight scoreless innings and catcher Cameron Rupp provided a solo home run as the Phillies beat the Marlins, 2-0, on Sunday at Marlins Park to take three of four games in the series -- their first series win at Marlins Park since May 20-22, 2013.

8/22/2015 | Harang stops rushing, settles into nice outing

Just like Phillies veteran Aaron Harang has been working extra the past couple of weeks to break his August slump, the righty did some soul searching after a rough third inning in Saturday's outing and regrouped to notch a quality start in Philadelphia's 4-2 comeback win at Marlins Park.

8/22/2015 | Prospects provide clutch power for Phillies

Phillies rookies Darnell Sweeney and Aaron Altherr aren't established home run hitters by any means, but the clutch power display by the youngsters in Saturday's 4-2 comeback win at Marlins Park was certainly an encouraging sign for Philadelphia's future.

8/22/2015 | Late homer barrage lifts Phillies past Marlins

The Phillies picked an opportune time to belt their first back-to-back home runs this season. With one out in the ninth inning on Saturday, Aaron Altherr and Darin Ruf each connected off A.J. Ramos, lifting Philadelphia to a 4-2 victory over Miami at Marlins Park.

8/22/2015 | Rookies Nola, Conley aim to rebound in Miami

After walking a career high in his last start, promising Phillies rookie Aaron Nola looks to regain his control in Sunday's series finale in Miami. He'll match up with Marlins rookie Adam Conley, who also wasn't sharp in his last outing.

8/21/2015 | Part of Hamels deal, Eickhoff matches lefty with feat

Jerad Eickhoff earned his first career win in Philadelphia's 7-1 victory at Marlins Park by tossing six scoreless innings on 75 pitches -- 52 of which were strikes. Eickhoff, who was acquired from Texas in the Cole Hamels trade on July 31, allowed five hits, struck out five and walked just one. With his performance, the 25-year-old became the first Phillies starter to not allow a run in his Major League debut since the man he was traded for, Hamels.

8/21/2015 | Howard hits 3 doubles, climbs Phillies' RBI list

While Phillies starting pitcher Jerad Eickhoff was busy working his name into the club's record books in Friday's 7-1 win at Marlins Park, first baseman Ryan Howard left his mark as well.
