Baltimore will also send Matt Angle, Brandon Erbe, Ryohei Tanaka, Josh Perrault, Eduardo Gamboa and Brandon Waring to the postseason showcase, and all of the club's prospects will play for the Phoenix Desert Dogs. Waring will be part of the team's taxi squad, which means he'll be able to play only two days a week.
Snyder, the team's top selection in the 2005 First-Year Player Draft, batted .343 with a .421 on-base percentage in 58 games at Double-A Bowie and has hit .260 with two home runs since a promotion to Triple-A Norfolk. The first baseman batted .349 with eight multihit games in his inaugural run through the AFL.
Bell, a third baseman, was acquired from the Dodgers in exchange for closer George Sherrill right before the non-waiver Trade Deadline. Bell batted .296 with 11 home runs in 94 games for Double-A Chattanooga before the trade, and he's hit .317 with five home runs and 12 RBIs for Bowie since joining his new organization.
Erbe, one of the team's top organizational arms, has gone 4-4 with a 2.40 ERA at Bowie this season. Perrault has split the season between Bowie and Norfolk, logging a 1-4 record and a 2.22 ERA with 17 saves between the two stops. Gamboa, meanwhile, is 10-0 with a 1.20 ERA in three stops through the lower levels.
Angle, a seventh-round draftee in 2007, has batted .289 with 36 stolen bases and 20 extra-base hits for Class A Frederick. Tanaka, who spent last year in the Dominican Summer League, has gone 4-2 with a 2.27 ERA for Bowie.
Finally, Waring was one of the chips acquired in last offseason's Ramon Hernandez deal. Waring, who plays both first and third base, has batted .276 with 25 home runs and 87 RBIs for Frederick this season.
