The Orioles today announced that they have recalled LHP BRIAN MATUSZ from Double-A Bowie. Matusz will make his major league debut tonight against the Detroit Tigers.

Matusz, 22, was 7-0 with a 1.55 ERA (46.1IP, 9ER) in eight starts for Bowie. His only no-decision came on August 1, when he was removed from his eighth start after one inning in order to allow him to start tonight's game for Baltimore. Matusz was the Orioles' first round draft choice (fourth overall) in the 2008 First Year Player draft.

RHP KAM MICKOLIO has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk to make room for Matusz on the roster. Mickolio threw 4.2 scoreless innings over four games for the Orioles.
