The Orioles today announced that they have added RHP Cla Meredith to the active roster and have optioned RHP Kam Mickolio to Triple-A Norfolk.

Meredith is 14-12 with a 3.49 ERA (239.2, 93ER) in 236 major league games since making his debut with Boston in 2005 and was 4-2 with a 4.17 ERA (36.2IP, 17ER) in 35 games for the Padres this year.

During the 2007-2008 seasons, Meredith pitched in 153 games for the Padres. In 2006, he set a Padres rookie record with 28 consecutive scoreless appearances from July 18-September 12, a span of 33.2 innings.

Mickolio, 25, appeared in three games for the Orioles, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out three in 3.2 innings.
