The Orioles today announced that they have recalled RHP Kam Mickolio from Triple-A Norfolk and placed RHP Chris Ray on the 15-day disabled list with right biceps tendinitis.
Mickolio, 25, went 2-3 with a 3.21 ERA (33.2IP, 12ER) and 37 strikeouts in 27 relief appearances for the Tides. In his last 21 games, Mickolio pitched to a 1.07 ERA (25.1IP, 3ER), lowering his ERA from 9.72 to 3.21.
Ray, 27, is 0-1 with a 9.28 ERA (21.1IP, 22ER) in 23 games with the Orioles in two stints with the club this season.
