Orioles invite Witasick, four others to Spring Training camp
tickets for any Major League Baseball game
The Orioles today announced that they have signed RHP Jay Witasick, a Baltimore native and graduate of C. Milton Wright HS in Bel Air, MD, and four other players to minor league contracts with invitations to the major league spring training camp. Signed along with Witasick were 2B Enrique Wilson, 3B Chris Stynes, OF Midre Cummings and CA Keith McDonald.

Witasick, a 9-year veteran, went 0-1 with a 3.21 ERA in 44 games for San Diego last season. Wilson has played 8 years in the majors and batted .213 in 93 games for the Yankees in 2004. Stynes, a 10-year veteran, hit .216 in 74 games for Pittsburgh last season. Cummings, who has played for six big league teams in parts of 10 seasons, spent most of last season at AAA Durham but also batted .278 in 22 games for Tampa Bay. McDonald, who saw brief action with St. Louis in 2000-01, batted .255 in 92 games for AAA Nashville last year in the Pirates organization.
