Earlier today, Rawlings announced that Orioles CF ADAM JONES is one of this year's American League Gold Glove Award recipients for defensive excellence in the outfield. The award, the first of Jones' career, culminates a season in which the 24-year-old was also named to his first All-Star team and set new career-highs in nine offensive categories, including average, hits, runs and RBI.

Brian Roberts, who set a Major League record for doubles in a season by a switch-hitter and established career-highs in doubles, runs and RBI, has been voted winner of the 2009 Louis M. Hatter Most Valuable Oriole Award by members of the local media who cover the team on a regular basis. He will be recognized for his accomplishments in an on-field ceremony prior to tonight's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
