ATLANTA – The Atlanta Braves made a series of roster moves today, including the acquisition of outfielder Jordan Schafer via waivers from the Houston Astros. Schafer, a member of the Braves’ organization from 2005-2011, batted .211 (66-for-313) with 27 stolen bases in 106 games for the Astros in 2012.

The Braves also outrighted three players off their 40-man roster, including catcher J.C. Boscan, right-handed pitcher Erik Cordier and left-handed pitcher Robert Fish. Boscan has elected free agency.
