The Orioles today announced that they recalled RHP TOMMY HUNTER from Triple-A Norfolk and placed OF ENDY CHAVEZ on the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain, retroactive to May 9.

 

            Hunter, 25, is 2-1 with a 5.00 ERA (36.0IP, 20ER) in six starts this season.

 

            Chavez, 34, is batting .133/.175/.167 in 20 games for the Orioles this season.  He signed a one-year contract as a free agent on December 20, 2011.
