Orioles at the plate: Adam Jones broke through for Baltimore's first hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. One out later, Nolan Reimold followed with a single and the pair scored on Craig Tatum's two-run double. Reimold also went yard off reliever Pat Neshek in the bottom of the seventh inning and has a four-game hitting streak since snapping an 0-for-22 mark Sunday.Twins at the plate: Designated hitter Jacque Jones blasted a full-count pitch over the right center-field fence for the game's first run. Shortstop Alexi Casilla doubled and robbed Miguel Tejada of a base hit up the middle.

Orioles on the mound: Chris Tillman, who is the frontrunner for the Orioles' fifth starter spot, labored through an 88-pitch performance. The young right-hander struck out four and allowed two runs on four hits and four walks over 4 1/3 innings. Reliever Cla Meredith gave up his first two runs this spring, although neither was earned, to finish the frame.Twins on the mound: Opening Day starter Scott Baker retired the first 13 Orioles before surrendering a hit to Jones. Baker struck out seven and yielded two runs on four hits over 5 1/3 innings. Worth noting: Twins pitcher Joe Nathan underwent successful Tommy John surgery on Friday morning. Dr. David Altchek took an extra tendon from Nathan's left wrist and put it in his right elbow. ... Minnesota confirmed that its first four starters will be Baker, Nick Blackburn, Carl Pavano and Kevin Slowey. ... Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts made his spring debut and struck out three times out of the leadoff spot. Roberts has been sidelined this spring with a herniated disc in his lower back, but reported no pain after taking his first game swings. Likely Opening Day starter Kevin Millwood will throw in the Orioles' Minor League game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Up next for the Twins: Minnesota will travel home to Fort Myers to take on the Philadelphia Phillies at 12:05 p.m. CT on Saturday. Twins right-hander Nick Blackburn will be opposed by lefty Cole Hamels.
