O's come up short in extra innings
Standout pitching performances shine in tough loss to Marlins

Orioles at the plate: Capitalizing on Cameron Maybin's error in the first inning, the Orioles grabbed the early lead. Scott Moore doubled with two outs and scored when Lou Montanez's fly ball was dropped by Maybin in center. Moore added another double and went 2-for-3, raising his average this spring to .438.

Marlins at the plate: Robert Andino belted a walk-off homer with two outs in the 10th inning to give the Marlins the victory, snapping a four-game losing streak.
Andino had an RBI single and Jay Gibbons added a run-scoring double for Florida in the third inning. Mike Rabelo opened the inning with a double. Dan Uggla and Maybin added singles.
Orioles on the mound: Right-hander Brad Bergesen, who is making a case for a rotation spot, was impressive over four innings. He allowed two runs on five hits with a walk and four strikeouts. He logged 57 pitches, with 40 for strikes. Brian Bass threw a perfect fifth inning, and seven of his nine pitches were strikes.
Marlins on the mound: Lefty Sean West pitched all around the strike zone over two innings. Of his 35 pitches, 23 were for strikes. He gave up an unearned run on three hits, while striking out two and walking one. Burke Badenhop worked two innings, giving up one hit and no runs.
Grapefruit League record: Orioles 6-3, Marlins 2-5-1
Up next: The Marlins take on the Cardinals as the visiting team on Sunday at Roger Dean Stadium at 1:05 p.m. ET. Ricky Nolasco, who appears to be in line to be the Opening Day starter, makes the start against Adam Wainwright, who likely will open the season for St. Louis.
The Orioles take on the Twins at Fort Lauderdalde Stadium at at 1:05 p.m. Danys Baez will start for the Orioles against Francisco Liriano.
