Wieters, Scott combine for three RBIs and pair of runs in win

Marlins at the plate: Center fielder Cameron Maybin worked a leadoff double in the first inning and wound up scoring on a sacrifice fly by left fielder Jeremy Hermida. Maybin also drew a walk in the third. Second baseman Dan Uggla drove a solo home run in the fourth inning to temporarily bring the Marlins within one run.

Orioles at the plate: Leadoff man Ryan Freel reached base twice, stole third and scored two runs. Catcher Matt Wieters singled in the first inning and later drove in a run with a double. Left fielder Luke Scott reached twice on errors and singled one run in, while right fielder Lou Montanez had two run-scoring hits.
Marlins on the mound: Andrew Miller's defense made two errors in his brief outing, but it also erased a run on a strong throw to the plate. Miller stranded two runners in the first inning and two more in the third. Anibal Sanchez gave up two runs in the fourth and used a 5-4-3 double play to escape a jam in the fifth. Orioles on the mound: Radhames Liz struggled to pitch economically and was lifted after allowing two baserunners in the third inning. Jim Johnson sandwiched two strikeouts around a home run in the fourth, and Chris Ray threw a scoreless inning in the fifth. Brian Matusz blanked Florida in the sixth and seventh. Grapefruit League records: Marlins: 1-4-1; Orioles: 5-2 Up next: Baltimore will face Washington on Friday in a 1:05 p.m. ET game at Fort Lauderdale Stadium, and David Pauley will be matched up against ex-Orioles pitcher Daniel Cabrera.Florida, meanwhile, will travel to Fort Myers, Fla., for a 1:05 p.m. game against Boston, pitting Chris Volstad against former Marlins pitcher Josh Beckett.
