Nationals at the plate: Nick Johnson hit a solo home run in the third inning to cut the Orioles' lead to 3-1. Joel Guzman and Jorge Padilla also had RBIs.
Orioles at the plate: Luke Scott went 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Justin Turner had a two-run homer third inning Matt Wieters hit a two-run home run in the sixth.

Orioles on the mound: Right-hander David Pauley, filling in for Rich Hill, started the game and pitched three innings and gave up a run on three hits.
Grapefruit League records: Nationals 2-3; Orioles 3-2.
Up next: The Nationals have an off-day Monday but return to Space Coast Stadium to play Italy of the World Baseball Classic on Tuesday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. ET. Left-hander John Lannan will get the nod for Washington.
The Orioles return to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Monday afternoon to play the Red Sox at 1:05 p.m. Baltimore right-hander Brad Bergesen will get the start opposite Boston right-hander Justin Masterson.
