Cardinals at the plate: Catcher Yadier Molina doubled up the left-field line in the first inning, scoring the first two runs of the game. Tyler Greene singled in the second inning and wound up stranded. The Cardinals were only able to tally two hits in the first five innings, sinking behind the Orioles for good.
Orioles at the plate: Outfielders Justin Christian and Nolan Reimold both contributed two-run home runs to the Baltimore effort, and Reimold returned later to dump a two-run single. Christian, Reimold and Brian Roberts all drew walks in the fifth inning, and Scott Moore drilled a three-run homer in the sixth.
