In a continuing effort to make Camden Yards the ultimate summer entertainment destination, fans will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of free concerts at Camden Yards this summer through "The Orioles Summer Concert Series," presented by Coors Light and Hard Rock Cafe. Friday Pre-Game Happy Hour and Saturday Post-Game Party concerts will take place each weekend the Orioles play at home from May through August. The concerts are the first in a series of musical events in development as part of a plan to make Oriole Park at Camden Yards the premier venue for baseball as well as for special events and musical entertainment in the region. Scheduled performers include a variety of local, regional and national acts. Local favorites include Lake Trout on Friday, May 7; the Kelly Bell Band on Friday, May 14 and The All Mighty Senators on Friday, June 25. Other acts include New Orleans-based rock and roll group The Radiators on Friday, July 9; Tampa-based female pop trio UC3 on Saturday, July 10; and New York City-based rock singer Gavin deGraw on Friday, July 23. National recording artist Eddie Money returns to Camden Yards on Saturday, May 15; the Psychedelic Furs are scheduled for Saturday, June 5 and Cheap Trick will perform on Saturday, August 7. Concerts will be held at the north end of Eutaw Street. Friday Pre-Game Happy Hour concerts will take place from 5:30 p.m. until the game begins at 7:35 p.m. Saturday Post-Game Party concerts will start after the completion of that days game and will continue for two hours. Most Saturday games are scheduled for 4:35 p.m., with concerts starting at approximately 7:35 p.m. or after the game ends, whichever time is later. Exceptions to this schedule are on Saturday, May 15, when the game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and the Eddie Money concert will begin at approximately 10:05 p.m.; Saturday, June 12, when the game time is 3:15 p.m. and the Jarflies will perform at approximately 6:15 p.m.; and Saturday, July 24, when the game is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. and Avion will perform at approximately 9:05 p.m. Concessions will be available at each concert. A portion of the proceeds from food and beverage sales during the events will benefit the Orioles Charitable Foundation. Concerts are free to Orioles fans, but those who want upgraded admission will have the opportunity to pre-purchase a $20 VIP Package that includes a ticket for the game in the Eutaw Street bleachers and VIP access to a reserved section in front of the stage at the concert. Availability is limited for this package.
